The house was built in 1939 and had a small, cramped kitchen that had been remodeled in the 1970’s. Beyond Kitchens added a small “bump-out” into the existing garage to create a new “mud-room” entry. This new entry allowed more space for the beautifully detailed custom-kitchen. The kitchen includes a very special two-level island with an African Mahogany wood counter top. The perimeter cabinetry is painted and glazed and includes a custom wood hood with a beautiful limestone and ceramic tile back splash.

Project Goals:
|
1. Open the kitchen to allow more space for visitors to eat and visit.
2. Make the space “pet friendly” and provide a better entry into the kitchen for the family dog.
3. Update the appliances, especially a gas stove.
4. Provide more storage and a better work flow.
