Project Address: 930 8th Avenue SW, Rochester MN

No room to add on?  This project is a good example of how to add on to your home when there is little room in your yard to expand.  This 30’ x 17’ Master Suite was added on top of an existing family room along with a bonus room built into the roof trusses of the addition.  The Master Bath includes a soaking tub, steam shower, electric in-floor heat, painted cabinetry and granite countertops with under-mount sinks.  In addition, there was a mudroom entrance with cubby cabinetry added to the side of the home.

Project Goals:

1. Add on spacious Master Suite while making a smooth transition between the new and existing structures. 2. Leave the existing main floor ceiling untouched while adding on above it, in order to minimize the disruption to the homeowner. 3. Create more storage. 4. Create a more functional mudroom entrance.

Directions:  From Hwy 63 N proceed west on 6th St SW.  Turn left on 8th Ave SW.  Home is on the left.
